'''Meaning''': Maya is ever-shaking, unstable. But from within a saint (sant) blows the cold current (hiv dhār) — a cool, still, peaceful air, like the wind over snow. '''Spiritual Understanding''': 1. The Sant as Hiv Dhār: The one whose mann (mind) has become still and frozen like snow (baraf) — free from heat of desires and trishna — radiates a cool, peaceful presence. Such a being’s words, presence, and glance bring sheetalta (coolness) and calmness to others. “Seetal hai sant” — the saint is cool and makes others cool. Just as chandan (sandalwood) is itself cool and spreads its fragrance and coolness far and wide. Just as snow’s coolness can be felt miles away. 2. Maya as Dolni (Unsteady): The world of Maya is shaky, unstable, restless — everything is in motion and temporary. But amidst that instability, the saint remains unshaken — his mind tikeya hoya hai, firm, still, anchored in the Divine. 3. “Jin Biloiya Tin Khaiya”: The one who has churned within (biloiya) — who has turned inward and discovered the Makhan (essence, truth) — is the one who truly eats (experiences). “Avar Bilovanhaar” — others are still churning, still seeking, still asking the questions of the soul. The saint can show the way, but each person must churn their own mind to extract their own butter of wisdom (Gyaan Makhan). Just as no one else can eat for you, no one else can attain realization for you. Essence (Tatv): The saint is like a cool wind over snow — calm within, bringing peace to others. The world is shaking with the winds of Maya, but the one who churns the self and stabilizes the mind discovers Makhan, the essence of divine knowledge. [[Category:Gurmukhi Dictionary]]
